Tanzania Under Canvas (View PDF)
This safari is unique to African Travel Specialists in the Australian market and an exciting alternative to the traditional lodge safari. The
beauty of the “Under Canvas” experience is that whilst providing a high level of comfort and service, we can get you as close to the game
movements as possible. In Tanzania we have designated camp sites in private concessions in each of the national parks, as well as the
Ngorongoro Conservation Area, and this is where we set up camps. The tents themselves are ten feet long by ten feet wide and eight feet
high. They comfortably sleep two people in single beds with mattresses. Each tent has a private covered verandah ideal for relaxing after
a day viewing game in the bush. The tents have seperate toilet and shower facilities. With a staff to client ratio of nearly one to one on
most itineraries, the level of service is exemplary. All the meals are prepared in camp by our privately trained chefs who can cater for your
individual needs. You will find during lunch and dinner, especially, those served in the bush will remind you of meals of a bygone era.

Ultimate Selous & Ruaha (View PDF)
Selous Game Reserve is the hidden wonder of Africa. It has been left virtually untouched by people, and is said to contain the world’s largest
concentrations of animals - buffalo, crocodile, hippo and hunting dog as well as lion, protected rhino and antelope in huge numbers. The
Rufiji River is famous for its wonderful birdlife and vast elephant population. Ruaha National Park protects a vast tract of the rugged semi arid
bush country that characterizes central Tanzania. Its life-blood is the great Ruaha River which courses along the eastern boundary in a
flooded torrent during the height of the rains. Impala, water buck, sable and other antelope are in abundance as well as cheetah and leopard.
