Brief Itinerary
Day 1& 2: Nairobi
On arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you will be transferred for a two night stay at the FAIRMONT NORFOLK HOTEL with day two at your leisure. (B)
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast this morning you will fly to Kilimanjaro airport (Tanzania) where you will be met by your African Travel Specialists Tanzania driver/guide who will be with you during your time in Tanzania. He will then take you by road to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its tree climbing lions. Overnight at LAKE MANYARA SERENA LODGE or similar. (B, L, D)
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast you will be taken by road to Ngorongoro Crater. Referred to as Tanzania’s “Garden of Eden” the Crater is home to almost every species of wildlife and a large variety of birdlife, such as the beautiful flamingo. Spend two nights on the rim of the crater at NGORONGORO SOPA LODGE. (B, L, D)
Day 5: Ngorongoro Crater
Today you will be taken into the crater for an almost all day safari, with a picnic lunch. Ngorongoro Crater is the only “living” caldera in the world and is home to thousands of animals that live within the crater walls. (B, L, D)
Days 6 & 7: Serengeti
After breakfast on day 6 you will travel by road to Tanzania’s most famous national park – the Serengeti – via Olduvai Gorge. Spend two nights at MBALAGETI LODGE. This vast national park boasts the greatest concentration of wildebeest, gazelle, zebra, giraffe and antelope in Africa. The Serengeti is also home to a large
number of predators such as lion, cheetah and hyena. (B, L, D)
Day 8: Amboseli National Park
After breakfast today you will fly to Arusha. After lunch you will be transferred by road to Amboseli National Park via the Namanga border crossing where you will be met by your African Travel Specialists Kenya driver/guide. A game drive en-route introduces you to this picturesque wonderland set at the foot of Africa’s highest mountain – Mt Kilimanjaro. Two nights at OL TUKAI LODGE. (B, L, D)
Day 9: Amboseli National Park
Today you will be taken on morning and afternoon game drives in Amboseli, home to one of the greatest concentration of elephants in East Africa. (B, L, D)
Days 10 & 11: Samburu Game Reserve
This morning you will fly from Amboseli to Samburu via Nairobi. After a relaxing lunch, you will be taken on an afternoon game drive to introduce you to the animals peculiar to this area. Day 11 morning and afternoon game drives. Two nights at SAMBURU INTREPIDS CAMP. (B, L, D)
Days 12 & 13: Masai Mara
Today you will be transferred to the Samburu airstrip for a scheduled flight to Masai Mara Game Reserve. On arrival at the airstrip you will be transferred to MARA
INTREPIDS LUXURY TENTED CAMP for two nights. In the late afternoon, you will be taken on a game drive. On day 14 enjoy a full day of game viewing in Kenya’s
finest game reserve, the Masai Mara. This reserve of open grassland is home to large prides of lion and other predators, with huge concentrations of other game. (B, L, D)
Day 14: Nairobi
Enjoy an early morning game drive and breakfast before your return flight to Nairobi, where you will be met and transferred to the FAIRMONT NORFOLK HOTEL for an overnight stay. (B)
Day 15: Depart
After breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward flight (B)
